Course n°6 - Digital health communication (DIGICOM)

June 13th - June 14th, 2019

Course content provides students with theory and practice on communication for health, with a focus on health research communication strategies and the translation of scientific results for policy-makers, financers, health providers, patients and the general public. Multiple levels of communication, different communicative channels and the use of diverse communication media and technologies will be studied. The role of communication in designing the agenda and objectives of health policies will be analyzed. Finally, the importance of the Internet in health communication will be explored.

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to identify a variety of health communication
tools and supports, understand the theoretical foundations of communication about health, and identify new strategies for generating successful health-related communication.
